About Overlook Law

Our mission is to deliver thoughtful, strategic legal counsel across education, employment, and commercial matters, while protecting constitutional rights and promoting accountability within complex institutional systems.

Overlook Law was founded by Craig W. Clark, a Marine Corps Judge Advocate, Colorado attorney, and former educator who personally experienced retaliation after reporting sexual misconduct within a public school system. Following his military deployment, he was unlawfully terminated by the district, and his family was ultimately forced to leave the community. That experience revealed a broader pattern: students, families, and educators whose rights are violated by school systems often lack meaningful access to legal representation.

Craig Clark established Overlook Law to provide principled, determined advocacy for individuals harmed by abuses of power within educational institutions. Because Craig also operates commercial real estate and other business ventures and also offers legal services in those practices areas, the firm is uniquely positioned to offer flexible fee arrangements, including pro bono and contingency-based representation where appropriate, to ensure that accountability is not limited by a client’s financial resources.

Founded in May 2025, Overlook Law has grown from a solo practice into a collaborative team, now including Associate Attorney Hannah Cowden and additional staff supporting a rapidly expanding client base. The firm is committed to protecting the rights of students, families, and educators, and to insisting on lawful, ethical treatment by those entrusted with public authority.
